STEM
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is the driver for making Europe economy green and competitive and, therefore, increasing social sustainability. Due to this, STEM attracts more attention at all the educational levels. However, the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly changed STEM education from the „normal“ (traditional) to the „new normal“ (online only). Transition of STEM education to online format accelerated the development of STEM platforms.
STEM Platform
STEM platforms are also known as STEM learning platforms, STEM ecosystem platform, STEM education platforms, and similar. Our respondents expressed their interest to incorporate STEM Platforms (for example, Kidescience.com, Stemify.ai, and Digitaled.in) educational materials into their course modules and to enrich their skills in learning data analytics for the increase of education quality.
This project proposes the two-level innovation:
- on the one hand, to incorporate STEM Platforms into a wide range of subjects in different education sectors (school, public, private, enterprise, adult, and language education) in the Nordplus countries,
- on the other hand, to interlink the use of STEM Platforms in different education sectors (school, public, private, enterprise, adult, and language education) in the Nordplus countries.
This will be a disruptive project that will change the education practices towards the XXI century. The project aim is to establish new course modules using STEM Platforms by teachers and teacher trainers in different educational sectors (on the one hand, adult, and language education; and, on the other hand, formal, non-formal and informal) and support them in their work with learners including disadvantaged ones for the improvement of their skills in STEM for green, competitive and socially sustainable future.
